The Convert Graphic option may be used to convert files in the following formats:

 

bmp

Microsoft Windows bitmap image file

fpx

FlashPix format

gif

Compuserve's Graphics Interchange Format

jpeg

A file format developed by the Joint Photographic Experts Group

png

Portable Network Graphics

pnm

Portable Map file format. Includes PBM, PGM, and PPM.

pbm

Portable bitmap format is a monochrome, single-banded, file format.

pgm

Portable graymap format is a grayscale, single-banded, file format.

ppm

Portable pixmap format is a three-banded, color image file format.

tiff

Tag Image File Format

Use the Convert Graphic    Button to display the Convert Graphic window.

Source Image

Enter the name of the graphics file which will be copied to create the converted graphics file in the Source Image Field.  The Source Images should be picture files ending with extentions:

 

bmp

fpx

gif

jpeg

png

pnm

pbm

pgm

ppm

tif

 

Files of these types are displayed when the arrow on the field below the Source Image field is pressed.

 

 

Destination Image

Enter the name for the new graphics file in the Destination Image Field.

 

Clicking on the field below the Source Image Field displays a list of sub-directories and graphics files in the current directory.

 

Select a sub-directory to search for graphics files in child directories or use the Up Directory Button  to search in parent directories.

 

The Find Button may also be used to locate specific graphics files.

 

 

 

Double click on a test to select a graphics file to convert.

 

Enter a name for the converted graphics file name in the Destination Image field.  Do not include the file name extention.

 

 

 

Double click on the Destination Image field to select the directory where the destination image is to be stored.  Select a sub-directory to search for tests in child directories or use the Up Directory button to search in parent directories. The Find Button may also be used to locate specific directories.

 

Press the field to the right of the Destination Image field to select the graphics fomat for the converted image.  The choice made will also become the file name extension for the new file.

 

 

Graphics files may be converted to a number of alternative graphics formats.  Select your preferred format by mouse clicking in the graphics type field and double clicking on your choice.  The TestKit program expects graphics images in either GIF or JPEG formats

 

When the source and destination graphics file names have been entered, press the Convert Button to create the converted graphics file.
